Sometimes people think that when an animal companion transitions out of their physical body that the connection between them has broken and is gone. They think that this connection cannot be reunited until they themselves have made their transition and are in what they think of as heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, our connection with our animals is never lost. Of course there are feelings of great loss when our animals pass away, but our spiritual connection with them continues. One of the best ways to know this is to recognize that we can connect with our animals in the here and now, even if they are no longer in their body.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are some ideas to help you experience this connection:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allow yourself to know (or at least consider) that this connection actually never can be broken. Therefore, you are connected right now.<\/li>\n<li>Return to your heartfelt feelings for your animal. Your heartfelt feelings are your connection. Your animal is having them right along with you. Your two way communication with your animal comes from this heartfelt connection.<\/li>\n<li>Allow your animals to &#8220;speak&#8221; to you. This may come in the form of a feeling, thought, or a picture. Or it may come in the form of a sign later on. As you begin to let yourself receive their side of this connection, they may communicate with you in the form of signs. People report hearing their animal bark or meow, or stumbling upon their animal&#8217;s toy or blanket in a place where it never was located. It had &#8220;mysteriously&#8221; changed location.<\/li>\n<li>It may not be easy to trust this connection in the beginning.
